Former Man United player and Stoke City Manager, Lou Macari, has this month opened a homeless centre in Stoke-On-Trent for those in need. The Macari Centre, in Hanley, will have up to 18 beds to ensure that rough sleepers have a place to go during the cold winter months.

The centre will provide hot food and will have access to advice, guidance and can aid in referral onto other agencies to help them find more sustainable housing.

Halstone Mobile & Technology have made a donation of a Smartphone to the centre so those staying there can contact their loved ones.
