Champion Hot Tubs is a growing UK-based business specialising in hot tubs and outdoor leisure products. Established in 2019, the company has quickly built a reputation for quality products and reliable service, supporting customers across its sites with a focus on long-term value and customer satisfaction.

As the business expanded, maintaining strong day-to-day operations became increasingly important, particularly when it came to connectivity and communication across locations.

The Challenge

Champion Hot Tubs faced a significant operational issue at one of its key sites in Yarlett. Internet speeds were consistently below 5 Mbps on an outdated analogue connection, with no fibre or SOGEA services available in the area.

The location itself presented a unique challenge. It sat within both a broadband and mobile signal black spot, making traditional solutions unreliable or unavailable.

The Managing Director, Owen, had already explored alternatives such as Starlink and dedicated ethernet lines. While these options could have worked, they came at a high cost and did not align with the business’s goal of finding a more practical, cost-effective solution.

The Solution

A powerful Smart Hub 3 was trialled using a loan SIM card, allowing the team to identify the strongest possible signal within the site. By carefully positioning the device, they were able to achieve a stable connection with speeds more than ten times faster than before.

Once proven successful, this solution was rolled out across both locations.
Alongside improving connectivity, the team also upgraded the company’s telephone system to a BT Hosted solution. This included setting up an auto attendant system to professionally manage incoming calls and route them efficiently.
